I used to feel inferior at some point in my life. But not anymore ? Why ?

Let me present a beautiful analogy to you. Have you seen the Sun and the Moon. Both of them glows. But there is a difference. The mood draws its light from the Sun. And what it gets in turn ? It has to revolve around Earth, that is, it has to follow someone else. The Sun draws its energy on its own. And it glows always, no matter someone cares or not. And all other planets revolve around it. And it supports life on Earth too. The Sun do not really care if the creatures on Earth realize his importance or not. As they enjoy a very small percentage of Sun’s Energy.

Certainly there are Stars which are much much bigger than Sun. But do we care ? No !

Similarly there will be always people in the world who are better than you. And you don’t have to care. Just remember you have your own Earth to preserve. Your own dreams to preserve.

And everybody has its time. Amitabh Bachchan got his glory at the age of 40. Boman Irani was a dentist till the age of 40. And there are lot of people who did great things at the age of retirement. And you are afraid of struggling at the mere age of 20s ?

So DON’T GIVE THEM A DAMN. Nobody can ruin your happiness until you let them.

To save yourself from negative feelings, spend sometime reading “How to Win Friends and Influence People” (You’ll easily get the PDF on Google). And try to earn people and improve your network. You really don’t know when a seemingly stupid person can become your best resource. Earn People.

Never let the people around you ruin your peace of mind.Instead look at the bright side of peer pressure.
You should feel lucky to have such people around you because you get to learn many new things from them.
Try to befriend them and if you really find them admirable, inspire from them and try to improve yourself.
Never compare yourself with others, because everyone is running their own race.
Also, don’t care about others opinion. If you feel like singing,go sing, dont care about others,Afterall it’s your happiness that matters the most.

I was lucky enough this weekend to grab coffee with a friend who was in town for a wedding.
Whenever we get together, we have great conversation that leads to more questions than answers and enough ideas to fill a notebook.
Our conversation was based around my friend leaving St. Louis and his realizations since then.
He shared how even though he was looking for a professional change, he missed how his days were filled with things and people he cared about.
In other words, he wasn’t content with being content.
This is something a lot of us deal with, especially in our professional lives.

Peer pressure is something everyone will succumb to to “fit in” with their peers. If you fit in with the people around you, you end up feeling part of a tribe of people who support each other-which is rarely the case.

So, how do you avoid peer pressure?
There is no defined way to avoid the peer pressure. It is everywhere! It isn’t just part of adolescents it is part of adulthood too!

The only way you can avoid it is if you surround yourself with THE RIGHT PEOPLE!!
If you go to a party with a group of mormons who do not consume alcohol, you are more likely to not drink! If you go to a party with the stoner group, you will most likely end up smoking.
If you can surround yourself with people who have the same values, you will end up doing the right things.

Things to do:
• Write down your values and the things you are willing to do and not willing to do.
• Seek out friends in your community that share your beliefs. Maybe it’s a religious sanctuary, a gym, or even a book club!
