What is the difference between a good person and a great person?

Lot of people are good… they will be ethical .. but when it comes to a difficult situation, they will find it difficult to manage… if there is a short cut or an unethical way to solve or overcome the situation, then they take that way… they think compromising certain things once in a while , not a big sin… the reason being unable to take in big pain…
Moreover for achieving greatness the so called good people have to sacrifice lot of things… they have to take lot of responsibilities, do lot of hard work and very importantly have to sacrifice lot of materialistic, sensory pleasures … these things normal good people will hesitate to do… only people with greatest ambitions, goals , leadership skills will do this to achieve greatness…

Can the mind be quiet? If so then how to keep it quiet


It cannot be quiet unless you take an effort to make it quiet… usually considering the present scenario in the world with fast technology , cultural changes and highest intelligence energy levels , it’s very very difficult to keep your mind quiet…the materialistic and comfort levels are at the highest to pose a big challenge to the human existence with calmness… unless a disciplined Spiritual excercises are done consistently it’s very difficult to keep your mind quiet… kriyas / pranayamas keep your body calm and its setting the platform to do an effective meditation… if both are done consistently then it keeps your mind to realise and be ethical .. being ethical is very important… otherwise the effects of karma will spoil your calmness.. so it’s a chain of events … kriyas / pranayamas and meditation can keep your mind calm.. but some people after even doing this they act against realizations and face the respective karmas.. ultimate it’s back to square… so its important to maintain this chain … kriyas / pranayamas, meditation, realizations, good karmasl and ultimately leads to a beautiful calm quiet mind.

Why self – respect is important and how to gain it?

It’s essential to have self – respect if you desire to love yourself wholly and completely. Having self – respect offers you the ability to love yourself for a true person you are on the inside, and not just for the looks or what you do for a living or what you can do. When you are proud of you and consider yourself that you have a value of human beings, then you have self -respect.

When someone doesn’t have self – the respect they undergo feelings of shame, anger, blame, guilt and regret. They often engage in abusive, self – destructive behaviors due to the feeling of being unworthy and have little value.

Taking care of yourself 

While at times it’s important to put others’ needs before your own if you do that regularly, it becomes damaging and you will never respect yourself. You must be able to draw a line between giving your physical and emotional needs ahead of serving and helping others.

You are eventually taking the toll on you when you don’t consider yourself and putting to needs to others. Not just emotionally and physically draining, it can also be expensive and time-consuming. Also, you might be feeling taken advantage of which might lead to feeling or resentful and anger.

Respect yourself but how

Not all are the same and we are born with our own set of great personal strengths and talents. To respect yourself you might try to appreciate your mind, body, and spirit.

This does not mean criticizing yourself either to yourself in front of others. If you don’t have anything nice to say then avoid it. Learn to love yourself for who you are on the inside and what you can contribute to the world and what you can offer.

Cultivating a positive mindset

It’s not that easy. Indeed, the troughs and peaks of life are what make many of us go round. Peaks are awesome, but going through the troughs is not a that bad thing. The essential factor is how you deal with them and this will be so much easier if you approach them with a positive mindset.

For various reasons, a positive mindset is very important. Positive thinking has been shown to enhance the productivity and quality of life. When we are in a positive mind set we feel great, perform better, more productive and healthier. We are better equipped and happier to deal with all life gives us.

The ongoing advantages of a positive attitude include better physical and mental health. This is because of the positive hormones that boost your immune system. We are much stronger and happier, thus, we are more successful in life.

The reverse is also true. A negative mindset will be so depressing. When we are feeling low we are more susceptible to get disease and will also suffer from other mental health problems. It can also cause you other personal and relationship issues, affect your ability to think rationally and also productively. To sum up, a negative mind frame must be avoided at any costs. Of course, it’s only natural for all to feel low or unhappy at times in our lives, but it’s all about how you deal with those hard feelings.

A positive mindset will offer you a “can do” attitude and you are more likely to see a challenge rather than an issue and to see a chance rather than on the obstacle. Having a positive mindset is a great asset but developing the right mindset is important.
