Are you having trouble focusing on a particular task? You might be facing trouble while studying, working or even while you’re practising a hobby! There are many ways to overcomes this. But here are a few basic tips that will help you stay on track.

First, prepare your mind to perform the task. Tell yourself you need so many minutes or hours to finish this task at hand.

Motivate yourself to see it through with the thought of achieving the feeling of successfully completing something. Next, prioritize your subtasks. Maybe you need to work on some parts of your project first – finish those and set the base for the remaining tasks.

Take a break when you feel distracted or when you have that first yawn! Don’t forget to spoil yourself with sugary treats or coffee to keep yourself active. If you’re on a diet, some fruits might provide the energy you need.

If you’re in an environment that is too hot or cold, try to set the temperature right so that you are comfortable because this is a huge factor when it comes to being able to focus! Take short breaks, listen to music if that’s your thing or try doodling for five to ten minutes in between just to let off some steam.

Lastly, have faith in yourself – that you will see this through. You will surely be able to focus better!

As we all know or would like to believe, the law of attraction governs our life. And the one single thing you require to make this law work for you, is understand and implement the power of gratefulness. Gratitude makes sense of the past, brings peace to the present and creates a beautiful vision of tomorrow. How the law works is that by simply being thankful for everything in your life, you are more likely to attract more things that you will be thankful for. There are several quotes that are in support of this law such as “What you sow, you reap” and “what goes around comes around”.

Most of the times, people take what they already have present in their lives for granted. Be it their home, the food they eat, the clothes they have or even their family and friends, many people do not realise the value of it until they lose it. If you look around you, there are so many things to be grateful for. However, a lot of people focus on what they don’t have instead of what they do. And in this way, they will only build greed within them for wanting more of things that they will never get due to their attitude of ungratefulness.

Being grateful for the little things in life not only makes you a happy person, but it automatically manifests and attracts more things for you to be happy about. So start being grateful today for all the things that you have been taking for granted.

Why money is an important source of happiness

You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy all the materialistic things that are required to keep you happy. The importance of money is often debated on by many people. While some believe that there is more to life than money, others feel money plays a vital role in your happiness. While both the stands have a point to ponder upon, we are here to talk about why one definitely requires money to be happy.

Money isn’t everything, but everything needs money. Take for instance all the basic necessities that you require for a comfortable living. Be it your house, your food or clothing, these things are basic necessities required for your survival. And to buy these things, you need money. It is the medium of exchange for any goods or services that you need to buy. Unless a certain thing works on a barter system, it is unlikely that you can own anything free of cost. Thus, everyone requires money. Everyone works for it, wants it and thinks about how to make more money. While the drive to increasing your income is great for your way of living, one should make sure this doesn’t turn into greed. If you become greedy for money, you are never going to understand the value of what you have and will only be unhappy wanting more and more of it.

Thus, money can be a trick game in your lives. Understanding that money is an important source of happiness, but not happiness itself is vital.

Dedication is the key to success

You must have heard the quote “Try and try, until you succeed”. The message underlying this quote is that dedication is undoubtedly the key to success. The word dedication is derived from the Latin word “Dedicare”, the meaning of which is “to devote”. Devoting yourself entirely to a particular task will definitely lead to success.

Have you ever felt like giving up on doing a particular task? Or were you ever de-motivated because a certain task was taking too long to improvise and put into action? The key element missing in your strive towards achieving the task is dedication! While you are devoted towards completing a task and try over and over again, not only do you master your skills required for the task, but you also recognize your weaknesses and faults and aim to better them. Let us look at a simple example: Imagine a child who is just learning to ride a bicycle. It is of no doubt that, he or she is likely to fall a couple of times while learning. If the child gives up or gets de-motivated by his falls, he is never going to learn. However, if the child understands that it takes time, and figures out his perfect balance on the cycle and focuses on it, he will be breezing through air on his cycle in no time.

Be it small or big, it requires dedication to complete any task successfully. Dedication pays, it gets you to where you want to be in life.

Gone are the days, when big hearted people where to be found everywhere although they did not have much to call their own. Nowadays, people have amassed so much fame, wealth and experiences that their hearts have become small in the process. Along with all these materialistic pleasures of modern world also comes your own worst enemy – Ego. A person who has a lot of fame and wealth to himself, is offended by the slightest actions or words thrown against him by others, leading to tonnes of ego and grudge within himself. He begins to feel that he has achieved so much in his life that he doesn’t deserve to be treated in such a way. Once this attitude kicks in, then there is not stopping the individual from turning anything and everything to be about themselves. What ego does to a person is that it takes away all sense of rationality leading to clashes within and outside ourselves.

One simple way to get rid of this monster within ourselves which tears apart our character and relationship with others is by learning to unlearn. Do not always put yourself ahead of others, think about the person by being in their shoes and how you would react to the same situation from their viewpoint. Unlearn all that you learnt from your life, and keep in mind that you can still learn a lot from others at every stage of your life. This will give you’re a sense of humbleness leading to the good riddance of this monstrous habit. Some other ways you can adopt to get rid of ego is by practicing gratitude for what God has given you, letting go and forgiving others for their misgivings and surrendering your need to control everything that happens in your life. Remember, whatever happens, happens for the best.

Live the Present

Present – just as it relates to time, it also symbolically signifies that living in the present is a gift given to mankind. The past is gone, the future is unknown, present is what is true. If this is understood by people, then being and living in the present shouldn’t be a problem at all. But more often than not, what happens is that we humans tend to become slaves of time and memory which ultimately leads us to continue living in the past or thinking about the future that we forget to experience the small joys that the present has to offer. Of course, the past and future is important too. Using your past experiences to take wise decisions in the present, and thinking about the consequences of present decisions in the future is an important aspect of self-preservation. But dwelling over something that has already happened or worrying over what might happen in the future will not allow humans to be peacefully rooted in the present.

In our fast-paced life, always racing towards and against time, we as humans have inevitably become victims of time. But it has to be understood that this time is a human made concept and is more or less an illusion which makes us delusional to be actually controlled by something that doesn’t even exist. What we are now, what we see now, what we do now, is the only truth there is ultimately. Do what has to be done today and let it go of your past and stop worrying about the future which is uncertain. Henry David Thoreau, who was a famous American essayist and poet has said “The meeting of two eternities, the past and the future, is precisely what the present is made up of”.

both of these have little connection. While religion is something that we follow from external forces,

same as anyone else’s. It is a universal human experience in order to attain peace and integrity
within ourselves. It is the relationship you truly share with yourself and with no one else, not even
God.
It brings you relief from materialistic things, comfort, teaches you right from wrong (possibly
through ethics as well) and helps you reflect on yourself. It is one of the best ways to always remain
positive and enjoy a strong and powerful mental and emotional health. There are many ways one
experiences the journey of spiritualism, it may be through keeping in touch with nature, meditating,
etc. There are many articles and gurus who may help you in this journey, however it is a completely
personal experience for each. To each its own, and thus, you need to figure out your own way of
living a spiritual life.
