As per Newton’s third law, we all know that everything has an equal and opposite reaction, so do our actions. However, how you react to the given situation is purely in your hands and your mind. You must remember that your reaction will also have a reaction and the spiral will go on. How a person acts or reacts speaks about that person’s state of mind. You can either choose to respond to it, or react to it. Reacting to a particular situation would just mean that you haven’t put any thought into it, while responding to others actions and words means that you are portraying your value and thoughts on the issue or matter. When you react, you are giving away your power to the situation. However, when you respond, you are staying in control of yourself and taking over the situation in your hands. You become the winner of the situation instead of succumbing to it. There is always a smoother and kinder way to deal with anything, and with a conscious effort put in, you can manage to figure out and tone down the heat of the situation.
Whether the other is speaking the truth or telling a lie. It is up to you to understand that their action has got nothing to do with you, and is all about them. Thus, create a bond of peace with yourself whenever something seems to test your patience and choose to respond wisely. What happens is not as important as how you react to what happens. Remember, how people treat you is their Karma, and how you react to it is yours!
