Yes it can be controlled. i would suggest not to overload things into mind that will cause anger.

Over the years I have come to realize that what is the most important thing that we all should strive for is peace of mind. Apart from meditation, focusing your energy on something constructive has a great calming effect on the mind.

Mediation is the way. Just witnessing the thoughts moving in your head is the beginning of the process of meditation. The mind becomes clearer over time and hence calmer.

Yes, just like Saravanan, I also think that putting your mind to things that you really like, calms you down. Avoid taking on work that you hate to do. Immersing oneself in work that one really loves doing is mediation in itself. Buddhist philosophy is also based on the same thinking.
